Curran's Landscaping was started in 1997 by just mowing residential accounts. After the first couple of years we expanded our client list of mowing and included fertilization and weed control along with other residential services like trimming bushes and leaf cleanup.
As the next season started we began spraying tree plantations for the State of Illinois and started doing some landscape projects. Later, we added Tree planting and Timber Stand Improvement projects for the State of Illinois. We also started including Hardscaped projects (Paver patios, Retaining walls, etc.) Today we are expanding a great client base by constantly adding services to satisfy our customers needs.
Lawn Care and Landscaping
On top of our long-established, excellent lawn maintenance programs, we do new hardscape and landscape design, installation and maintenance. Hardscapes include paver walkways, patios, driveways, retaining walls, garden walls, and mailboxes. Creating new Landscapes involves many service areas including moving of dirt, seeding of a yard, installation of plants, trees, and bushes.
Timber Management
Timber work is part of managing existing timber stands including removing undesirable woody plants like Elm, Box Elder, some Maple trees, Buckthorn, Honeysuckle bushes, Cottonwoods, etc. Cut stumps are treated with a chemical that prevents the trees from resprouting ultimately allowing preferred trees types like Oak, Hickory and Walnut to receive more sunlight.This helps nuts from these trees to regenerate and produce new tree seedlings, continuing to grow for future generations to enjoy. Spraying is done on nearby grassy areas to prevent weeds, and keep the grass green and healthy.
